Anybody know why my Juke might have started beeping after turning off the engine? The lights are on Auto, there aren't any doors open and it has done it multiple times (consistently) over the last 48 hours.
This thread is over a year old now, but just yesterday my Juke started doing this. I haven't made any changes to my headlights, fog lights, etc -- when you turn off the car, it makes a steady beeping sound for about 2-3 seconds. It's doing it every time. I have no lights on aside from a seat belt warning light since I accidentally bumped off my passenger seat belt warning light... but that was two months ago and it just started today. No, it is just one long beep that lasts about 3 seconds.
You're kidding... Right? It's the cars way of telling you that it was shut off too fast and it got confused. It's happened to me a time or two.
In the '13 I just bought, when headlights are on auto, and fog lights are left on, the fog lights go off when headlights go off after the allotted "see me home" time.Yuppers- that's one of the downsides w/this car - the fog lights are not 'dummy-proof' - they won't auto shut off if they're on - thus the beeeeeeeep!
Thanks — solved my problem.Mine does it if I am in Auto headlight mode and have the fog lights turned on as well. If the fog lights are off, I get no beep at shutdown, but they are on it beeps a solid beep for a few seconds. Took me a few times to realize that was the combination.
