Where to connect vacuum/boost gauge?

Where can I connect a boost gauge that will get both vacuum and boost? It seems either the 2 spots I've tried are boost only or my gauge just isn't reading the vacuum. I'm trying to get this done tonight so please help quick! Thanks in advance

You should be able to splice it on the hose going to the BPV. I haven't looked at the Juke, but I would assume that is the place.

Tried it, no vacuum. I think my gauge is fubar, that's what I get for $25 at autozone I guess. It also shakes violently at 75% or more throttle. Need a scrubber or different gauge. Gonna take it back tomorrow I guess. Solid 10 paid at 75% though!

The gauge is giving a boost reading it's working, but the flutering may be,
1-gauge
2-crimped line
3-source
4-leak in line
A lot of car's with gauges get this, this turbo is really small and builds boost quickly and creates high sharp spikes..I get a bit of that too!
If you want a cleaner reading go with a fluid filed gauge, or you can try a inline filter/reducer...heard of some guy's doing this.
You you will learn a lot about the cars setup from installing your gauge. Where did you mount yours?

Haven't been on here in a bit, a little busy. I didn't hook up to a line which would give me a vac reading either, just wasn't important since my only reason was to gauge my boost levels only. To get a vac reading you will need to get it from a line coming off of the intake manifold.

If you have a problem locating one let me know.

Anyway I hooked into the boost sensor line since their is no reduction from line to line.

mine is sticky tape mounted next to the tweeter on the driver's side... just until somebody comes out with a gauge pod though. You're connected to one of the two spots I've tried. There are 2 hoses coming off the front of the manifold, but it's too hard for me to tell all the different lines apart.

I did reconnect to the BPV... because after thinking about it, it's one of the two lines that go to the manifold. At first no vacuum still, then a swift smack to the gauge rendered it useful again! Also very little fluttering now.

It seems that my car holds pretty steady at 12PSI with a spike near redline at 13-13.5PSI. It usually goes right to 10PSI at part throttle, almost like it's programmed to do so? Anyway... that's more boost than I thought it should be, is that right or is it the gauge? Thanks for the help guys

How are you determining your reading 3-4th gear (stick) or 3-4th ratio (CVT) for stock reading, you have the highest by far? Stock boost setting full throttle should be no more than 10 PSI with 12 PSI Spike for about 500-700 RPMs. Part throttle is just crazy, I don't even want to get into that one agian. Currently boosted I'm running a steady 14-15 PSI with a 17 PSI spike unless i dail it a bit down for MPG.
Anyway good deal! Always like to see some creativity going on.

I think the video was a 3rd gear punch (CVT). That's about where it is in all gears though. Now if I put it in sport mode and let it run through the gears it'll spike to 15psi about 700 RPMs before the shift and hold til the next gear. I'll try to get a better video, but it will be a while since I'll have to have somebody in the back seat.

Honestly, I'm guess my boost is around what yours was stock. Probably just the gauge... I'll see if my brother will swap me to test them.
