I thought the AWD/Vectoring system was used as well in the VDC ?

Ok.

I was thinking that if the CVT was malfunctioning maybe because the fluid was old and needed changing. That it could possibly cause the VDC to error especially with the sound that was described. Anyway.......

I had the exact same thing happening to me a few months back, a hard acceleration followed by a hard'ish stop would cause the buzzing sound and the VDC light to come on, even on dry pavement. The light only went away after a restart but it was happening atleast once a day.
After reading around on other car forums i learned it was brake related. I got my brakes replaced and a brake flush done and that issue disappeared fully and it has been 4 months or so with no problems.

I'd like to confirm brakes done and light and noise don't happen on hard stops anymore. My fluid was low so I think that's the issue but I had 75k on pads so either or.
