So I’ve seen a few post and I just want confirmation on this, best way to pull the motor on these is to remove everything from the front and come out through the top? I plan on leaving the CVT attached and coming out all together. I’m sourcing the motor now and possibly a CVT. Thinking in the next month or two, that will give me time to go through the replacement motor and put some new components on while there are easier to access. Hoping to get 80k miles out of this before I have to do anything else.

What’s wrong with the engine that makes you think you need to swap the motor? In your other thread you were looking to do a timing chain replacement. That can be done with the engine in the car. If you pull the engine it’s easiest to come out the top but requires removal of a lot on top and around the sides of the engine. If you end up needing to swap the engine because the internals are destroyed or seized, make sure you get the same generation engine. You have a 2012, so that’s a gen 1 engine. You can use an engine from any trim 2010-2014 or a 2015+ Nismo RS only (don’t ask what the difference in the engine between trims is, the quick answer is it’s all in the ECU tune from the factory).
