Battery drain problem

I just went through the same experience, which was due to dead battery. I bought a smart charger/battery tender in the hopes that I could recondition the battery. It was a 2A charger and had issues overcoming a .5A draw. After about 30seconds after turning the ignition/accessory off, the draw would drop to under .1A and stay there. By pulling fuses in the engine bay, I was able to identify the radio circuit as the main source of the draw. I can't remember if the .1A was just the radio or if that was present after pulling the fuse as well. My diagnosis is that this was all normal and due to capacitors drawing power until that vehicle completely shut down.

Ultimately, after trying (and failing) to recondition the battery with 2 different devices, I replaced the battery with a new one.

Just my experience with batteries on the juke:

My oem lasted 4 years, almost 5. I replaced with a more expensive agm that lasted another 4 years. I decided to go with cheap Wal-Mart this last time, since it will actually be more cost effective to spend $120 every 3 years vs $200 every 4 years. Going cheap is fine unless you have additional need for stereo or deep cycle/engine off usage.
