Hello, my car is 2015 Nissan Juke SL, & it has 108k miles on it. Recently I went on a road trip from FL>NY & back with it & everything was fine. Last Thursday, I was sitting in traffic on the way home when the service engine soon light came on. My dad ran for codes & the codes that came up were, p1217, p2263, & p26ab. So basically, my car overheated & we saw I had no coolant. So we refilled the coolant, & the light turned off & the codes went away. Then about two days ago, I was driving to my boyfriends house after work & the light turned back on so I went straight home. My dad ran the codes again & the only code that came up was p26ab. My dad knows a guy who specializes in Nissans & asked him & he said it could be either, Water Coolant Valve Part number, 21250-BV81A, or engine coolant temp sensor. If anyone has any idea of what it could be, or has had the same issue, all help will be appreciated.

Also if anyone knows of a video explaining how to replace the Water Coolant Valve, if you can send me the link it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Service manual is on a sticky in the general section.

If she over heated and was low on coolant. That is not good. Coolant doesnt evaporate. There is something else going on.

The Juke has two thermostats FYI.

You do not just fill the overflow tank. The system must be filled via the cap on the top of the motor and air bubbles must be worked out.

You would have to ask a local mechanic what their labor rate to replace the part is. No one here can tell you, especially when you don’t provide location.

The part is roughly $500.

I would stop by a NIssan dealership. Get a quote and prolly have them do it. Chances are they have done them before and that is a good thing.
