Why is my Juke beeping at me after I turn off the engine?

Anybody know why my Juke might have started beeping after turning off the engine? The lights are on Auto, there aren't any doors open and it has done it multiple times (consistently) over the last 48 hours.

Mine does that too sometimes and I don't know why. As long as it stops fairly soon (within seconds usually), I'm not going to worry about it. There is too much hi-tech stuff going on with the keyless ignition & the security system, and nobody will ever get it all to work 100% perfect all the time. At least that is my opinion.

I bet it's because Wile E. Coyote is around...j/k. It could be an issue with the lights since you have them in auto. I think there were one or two jukes with the auto light feature that had issues way back after launch.

This thread is over a year old now, but just yesterday my Juke started doing this. I haven't made any changes to my headlights, fog lights, etc -- when you turn off the car, it makes a steady beeping sound for about 2-3 seconds. It's doing it every time. I have no lights on aside from a seat belt warning light since I accidentally bumped off my passenger seat belt warning light... but that was two months ago and it just started today.

No TPM warnings, no check engine, nothing out of the ordinary. Has no one figured this one out yet?

I need to take her in for maintenance next weekend anyway so I can ask then, but figured I'd check up here first...

Do you have your fog lights on?

I'm pretty sure it's your keyless entry system saying that the key is leaving the zone where your key is detected. Are you locking the car after the beeping sound or before? Chances are it's after you leave the detection zone so it's just letting you know the car is left unlocked and your key is no longer within range.

Mine has recently started doing this too. One solid beeeep.
No other dash lights, lights switched to off, shut car off before opening doors. The only thing that I've done differently is open the hatch and doors one day recently with the button on the handle because I couldn't reach the unlock on my remote.
Would that have something to do with it?
