I really thought hard about going the same route you are thinking. I have opted for more of a blackout style because I went with some bronze/gold wheels, so having red with the black/white/gold might be a step too far for me.

Here is what it looks like post install, I actually like it alot. But now that its on there, I am thinking that a carbon fiber hood will create this "sea" of pattern that I wont enjoy very long. I think I'll be going with matte black for the hood wrap.

With the rest of the CF vinyl material, I am going to redo the "U" on the grill, as well as the glossy black area on the bottom of the grill that makes it way out to the ends of the car. But this is it for today - its beer o clock.🍺

- Edit/Update. I LOVE how they look walking up to the car, and at night they look good and didn't seem to change the beam pattern as I closed in on my garage door. That said, I I have light bleed on the edge close to the hood, it has to be there in order to prevent issues opening and closing the hood. So I'll be placing and ordeer for the matte black 3M and cut a strip to apply to the inside of the gator eyes, hopefully that will take care of it.

I just ordered the glassy black. There wasnt any good red/black that I could find.

My paint job on these is breaking down so wrapping is gonna be the best for me.

Thanks for the pics and such.

I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to Spartan. 5 of my 11 races have been Beasts; Utah, Tahoe, Montana, Monterey, and Sacramento. 3 of them are no longer Beasts though. They were downgraded to allow more options to Trifecta.

I haven't done any of the East Coast runs. I really wanna do Killington. They started a Spartan Trail Series this year that would be awesome to compete in. Tahoe is by far the highest Spartan I've done. At its peak, the race takes you to around 9000 feet. The Rocky Mountain Half Marathon was my highest continuous elevation race at around 7500 ft.

By far though, the 16.5 mile Montana Beast outside of Glacier National Park was my fav. It was an infamous Norm designed race and was basically 16 miles of untouched land that he had to bushwack to create the trail. Tahoe is a great one to experience though. It's been ranked up there will Killington. One of the reasons its been the Championship course since its inception.

I lost count of how many my wife has done. Trifecta's Beast Supers etc.

Here I am on the top of Killington. They say its one of the hardest in the country.

The one pic from the ski lift I call the death march. I saw a couple people throwing up on my way back down.

My wife is an uphill specialist. I barely got from the starting line. Walked to the lift. Rode up. Got a glass of wine and she was cresting the peak. I was like WTF.

This was 2016.

I am sure there are just amazing courses out West. It would suck to compete in them as you dont have time to stop and smell the roses.

Norm, founder, does seem to make Killington tougher than other courses because it being the Original ?

However I have talked to people that have been a lot of places and Blue Mountain here in Palmerton Pa they say is especially tough for some reason.

Today I found out my stock exhaust (2013) is toast. 2nd cat to muffler needs replacing. Noticed something was wrong when the Juke sounded as if it was a race car the other day. Checked underneath, and just after the 2nd cat flange to silencer it completely separated. Nissan wanted $1,600 for parts alone. I am getting it at roughly $1,200 installed after taxes and labour.

Aftermarket performance exhausts are cheaper that that. There are a number for sale on the forum right now if you are interested.

Not sure if it replaces the part that broke, based on your description, but might be worth checking out.

Finally got around to installing my 2nd CAT delete. The spring bolts would not budge and didn't want to risk them breaking so I had to improvise, but got it in none the less. Took it for a drive and no codes, so I'm happy with that. It's a bit louder than I would like, but have to make sacrifices to get to reach the end goal. Plus being in California, there is a chance of failing the visual by pulling the 2nd CAT, so had to leave everything easy to swap it back in.

Nope. FR 2nd CAT delete into 2J 70mm Cat back, stock downpipe.

Much like the upper MannyMount, it could be that the sound may be louder inside the car than what is being heard while driving, but its not the nice low growl that it had when I upgraded the CAT back only.

If you removed the stock resonator (the 2-3 foot long wider section of pipe in the middle of the car just behind the 2nd cat) that's where the low rumble and added exhaust note in the cabin comes from. The muffler has some to do with the noise as well, but it's mostly in the resonator. The muffler just muffles exterior sound by way of baffles to reduce the exhaust pulses coming out the end.

It had a great sound with the 2J CAT back before pulling the 2nd CAT, even without the stock resonator. It'll just take some time getting used to it.

That's pretty much what happened with my 2012 Juke. This is what my 2nd cat flanges looked like :/ I ended up replacing it with a 2J midpipe and Magnaflow catback exhaust. I initially was just planning on just putting in the Magnaflow catback, but these flange bolts were rust-welded on and wouldn't budge. The bolts from the downpipe weren't quite as bad, so I bought the 2J midpipe and replaced the whole thing.
.

On a personal note, I got some Eibach springs and new all-season tires on today. I spent a lot of time deciding on tire sizes because I wanted to fill in the fender gap a bit. I ended up going with stock sized tires and the springs dropped it right where I wanted. I'll be installing a strut bar and OEM-style spoiler this weekend.

My CEL came on again. Car's been drivin so bad lately that I've been completely discouraged from working on it in any way... Haven't even washed it in 2 months now, as compared to it used to be every month it got a wash & wax. Just kinda... blah on it right now. Ideally tomorrow I'll pull the plugs and do a compression test and see if I can start figuring out what's wrong with it this time around. Cuz really I just wanna do fun things to it, but not if the bastard is gonna blow up on me.

Wrapped the hood today and reset the eyelids after using some scrap vinyl to seal the edges and prevent the light bleed that was bothering me all week. Really like this look and I'm now positive that the carbon fiber hood would have been a step too far. I'll stick with Carbon Fiber for trim pieces, and for the mirrors I'm trying to decide between the Impul and the Nismo version.

I used 3M 1080 Matte Black. Application took around 90 minutes with my wife as the second pair of hands.
