Has anyone ever replace a transmission pan on the juke. Is there a way I want to go about it, I am almost 80% sure the last owner never changed cvt fluid. Makes me worry because some say fluid change at this point might just mess my cvt up.

There’s info in the FSM on how to take the pan off as well as torque specs for the bolts when you put it back on

There are CVT kits out there with a pan gasket, strainer, beehive cooler gasket, beehive cooler filter etc. Worth a look.

Something like this. Search Rock Auto, Ebay, Amazon etc.

Yeah

also I am going to drain and refill my question is since it’s probably never been changed is it at risk for damage? At 101600 miles
I would change it. Dropping the pan will not empty all the CVT fluid. You will need to do about 3 close together to get about 95% of the fluid changed. Drive 20-50 miles before the next change

I just ordered the following parts for my gen 1 Juke to do the CVT fluid change and drop the pan. With local pickup at my dealership it was less than $200. The pan gasket is the single most expensive item, but the quantity of CVT fluid I ordered makes that the most expensive total on the order. The O ring is the one found here on the forums, however most online parts stores will say it does not fit the Juke. The filter does not come with the larger O ring, but does come with the smaller internal gasket. If ordering from a dealership, they will want the last 8 digits of the VIN to verify these are the correct parts for your Juke. Again, the below list is for a gen 1 (2011-2014 all trim levels and 2015+ RS) CVT.

10x 999MP-CV0NS2 - 1 qt NS 2 CVT Fluid
1x 31397-1XF0C - Transmission Oil Pan Gasket
1x 31726-1XF00 - Transmission Filter
1x 31526-1XM0A - Seal O-Ring

Changing the fluid and filters at this point won't mess up the CVT. It might improve drivability and definitely will help it run cooler. I wouldn't over-think it. Just follow the advice that folks posted and you should be fine.

I highly recommend getting Nissan parts for this as suggested.

I love my Juke with 93,000 miles. Never had a problem. Just changed the fluid at 80,000 miles. Everyone says i WILL have CVT problems; Hence I am taking delivery of a Honda HRV in the morning.

I just did mine last weekend. Bought the car at 69,000 and changed pan gasket, strainer, beehive cooler gasket, beehive cooler filter, at 71,000. Oh and I decided from doing a bit of reading to use Amsoil CVT fluid. Was pretty straightforward. The pan bolts towards the radiator are a pain but a swivel socket will get the job done. Dropping the pan I ended up Dumping 6.5oz of CVT fluid just so you know. Be sure you keep track of how much comes out so you know exactly how much to put back in. Good luck.

Report back every so often. We dont have a whole lot of people reporting back as to how well the Amsoil works.

I am glad your Juke is running good.

Hi! sharing my amsoil cvt fluid experience: 2011 Juke SV AWD, drained and filled maybe 4.5qts at 68k km, now at 91k km, so that's about 14k miles, and no issues to report. have driven it from Vancouver, BC to LA and back, about 4.5k-5k miles including around town. have 2 mountain passes near OR-CA border, and I-5 grapevine with A/C on, no limp mode triggered. iirc, i paid less than for a Nissan NS-2.

That's good to hear I will most likely just use the Amsoil cvt fluid
