Today I had to drive from one end of the city to another. I jumped into my new, not new Juke and headed for the highway. Normally on a Saturday, the traffic is backed up and extremely slow. Today was a different story. As I merged onto the highway, I noticed how few cars there were on the road. Was everyone hibernating in their homes afraid to catch the infection? As I looked around me at the drivers I passed, I wondered, how many of these people were infected. I felt like I was driving through a scene of the Walking Dead. I zipped along, weaving from lane to lane as I maneuvered my way through the masses trying to get away from them all to safety. I finally made it to my destination and armed with my bottle of Purell I proceeded to enter the war zone...the grocery store. Would I survive and make it out alive? I dodged my way from aisle to aisle, eyeing all who came close to me. Hearing a cough I immediately held my breath so as not to breathe in any droplets of the virus. I managed to collect my necessities for survival, quickly paid for them, doused my hands in Purell, and exited victorious and alive. I survived another day in this apocalyptic world. Will you be so lucky?
