Today I had to drive from one end of the city to another. I jumped into my new, not new Juke and headed for the highway. Normally on a Saturday, the traffic is backed up and extremely slow. Today was a different story. As I merged onto the highway, I noticed how few cars there were on the road. Was everyone hibernating in their homes afraid to catch the infection? As I looked around me at the drivers I passed, I wondered, how many of these people were infected. I felt like I was driving through a scene of the Walking Dead. I zipped along, weaving from lane to lane as I maneuvered my way through the masses trying to get away from them all to safety. I finally made it to my destination and armed with my bottle of Purell I proceeded to enter the war zone...the grocery store. Would I survive and make it out alive? I dodged my way from aisle to aisle, eyeing all who came close to me. Hearing a cough I immediately held my breath so as not to breathe in any droplets of the virus. I managed to collect my necessities for survival, quickly paid for them, doused my hands in Purell, and exited victorious and alive. I survived another day in this apocalyptic world. Will you be so lucky?

Same boat. I hit the convenience stores (1) day in advance of the National Emergency declaration, the first Walgreens I saw coming off of work I hit it hard. I got as much dried goods, water, detergent, soap, etc. as I could put in (2) carts at a Walgreens. The few people that saw it kinda chuckled......I went back the next day and 15 people in line. I'm not a prepper, but I have common sense and saw what was going on in China and Italy. My girlfriend went shopping 4-5 times, so we were on the same page. Couldn't find no TP though, bought that (1) week earlier knowing what. At this point just waiting to see if I'll be working from home or not. I guess all those episodes of "Living Dead" have me just reacting normally to it.

They are asking for people who will volunteer to be injected with the virus so they can do tests on you to find a cure. They'll pay you over $4,000. Any takers?

Make it 20K and I'll go. The US is doing the same thing but we only get 1100.

What if it ends up compromising your immune system and you find out later that it's just shortened your life by ten years. You never know!

Just came back from the grocery store and they stocked up on some items, but still no toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, spaghetti sauce, pasta, frozen veggies or hand sanitizer. They're closing all casinos in Ontario now and lots of stores are closing in the malls.

I always stay home and drink plenty of fluids 🍺 mind you work is really slow so I'm "self quarantined" regardless :D
However, it's crazy, even here in Edmonton. Go do shopping (as per every week) on Saturday and NO TP, NO soup, NO canned beans but lots of cleaning supplies...
I don't need 200rolls of TP for 2 weeks. Geez. Wake up people.
As per original post, ya, almost like a ghost town, @catwoman as you know I hate west ed mall but almost want to go to see how empty it is

Cant hurt any more than running my car without any cats all of 20k miles a year filling this world with hydrocarbons and nitric oxides all for the sake of beautiful symphony that juke makes when the cams phase and boost rolls up with solid engine mounts sending vibrations into my spine
