I was at the dealer earlier today and noticed that there were no safety ratings listed on the window sticker of any of the Jukes.

All the rest of the Nissan cars I took a peak at had 4+ stars across the 4-5 categories of safety that were rated but the Juke had no stars and a message about "Safety information not available".

I'm assuming this has to do with the fact that it's a new model and hasn't been tested?

Anyone have any additional insights? Is there typically a period of time between when a new car model is introduced and when there is safety information available in the United States? Weeks? Months?

Can even be years if the sales volume is low. There is some critical mass that needs to be reached before testing is done. It was quite some time before the Acura RSX I had got tested when it was a new model.

Foe new car models usually takes a little while before NHTSA to come up with the figures.
