This is for a 2013 nissan juke.

There is a metal on metal higher pitched grinding sound only when you turn right. It seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle but i can't pinpoint where. It only occasionally happens but it happens frequent enough to be a concern.

What could this be? First thought is wheel bearing, but want other opinions

Welcome to the forums. Could be a brake dust shield, brake pad dragging, CV joint or axle, wheel scraping against the knuckle/frame. Take the wheel off and look for any obvious signs of wear around those components.

I have a similar sound but only when fully loaded with passengers.

Mechanic couldn't pin point it so I've left it now, mine sounds like a faint chuff chuff chuff sound.

I assume it might be pads rubbing on the disc as I turn which probably means new discs.

Let me know if you find the cause on yours.

It did turn out to be worn pads
