Without trying to ignite anything, I would make the suggestion that 'backpressure on the turbine' be referred to by its more formal name: compressor surge. Flutter typically occurs in the dv/bov far more often than on the turbo. People like to call compressor surge 'flutter' due to the sound, which is also similar to the dv/bov malfunctioning, and there are always 100 people saying they hear flutter and are freaking out thinking their turbo is dying, when in reality they have a torn oem dv or a spring that isn't quite a perfect balance for the application.

Best to avoid confusion and just call it what it is. Compressor surge.

Exactly the point I'm trying to get across, especially since it isn't a huge mod or a hack job. I agree on the oem valve. Do you know of any upgraded / aftermarket electronic diverter valves that are actually worth it?
