Does the turbo need to come out to install a down pipe in a 2013 with awd and a cvt?

Yes. Your adding hours to the install if you do not, and hundreds of dollars in fluids. Ask
@Macgyver , he has seen it in action. lol

Thanks for the quick response and the downpipe. Whats the best way to get at the two firewall side turbo flange bolts? From the bottom maybe?

Remove all the bolts holding the downpipe in place so you can move it around, get a very long 1/2 drive extension with an impact gun using a swivel socket 14mm, then let her rip. Otherwise I recommend separating the turbo center from the exhaust housing so you can gain easy access to the turbo manifold bolts.

I've got the turbo out .still don't have the clearance to get the downpipe out. Will taking the motor mount out help?

removing the turbo allows you room to remove the turbo manifold from the top. once the manifold is out you can get the downpipe put through the top
