Code 0841

Our 2016 nissan juke with 74000 on it got a code 0841. Trans fluid pressure sensor. noticed some weird shifting. dealership changed fluid maybe 15000 ago. So could it be more than a sensor? I really hate this car but my wife loves it. We have had no major issues with it. Ive maintained it regularly. But I hate CVT"s. So is this a common code for these cars?

Thanks

You can see how often the code has been discussed on the forum and maybe get a bit more info on it:

The only thing left to do is change the fluid again. You only get about 1/2 the fluid out so doing it twice has better odds of fixing something.

Hmm I check my paperwork fluid was changed 12000 miles ago. May I ask why changing it again would fix or might fix the code and slightly weird shifting? Thanks
I explained above.

Doing another fluid change can only help considering getting a remanufactured CVT installed is costly.

CVT holds 9.5 quarts. Around 5 comes out. So if the old fluid was worn out. 1/2 the old fluid is still in there which is not good.
Since the fluid change was performed by the dealership, I'd be inclined to think they did more than a driveway drain and fill. They have the equipment to get more out. I've been using dealerships for fluid service multiple times (30-35k intervals) and I've never even considered that they only changed half my fluid... I assume they took the steps necessary to fully complete the service because telling a customer "you will need to come back in after 5000 miles and let us do it again" is not an acceptable business model.

Good point if thats the case. The receipt will have the break down of costs so that will show what they did.
Well after having the Juke at the dealership they did a diagnostic. They told me I need a new valve body!! They sent the info to nissan to see what they will cover. They called me yesterday, Looks like I'm getting a new rebuilt tranny from nissan. This is unacceptable for nissan. 74000 miles on a pampered car, oil changed 14000 miles ago. I know the first gen. had issues but looks like 2nd gen. still does.. This car will be traded in for sure. Not taking a chance. Especially the new tranny will have 1 year or 12000 mile warranty. Last nissan I will ever buy..
I wouldnt be dead set against Nissan. The CVTs just suck. I would not buy any car with a CVT.

The problem now is almost all auto makers have them. I'm talking small cars to small SUV's. Honda seems to be the best as far as CVT's but again I hate how they drive. I have a truck and always will have one but the wife on the other hand likes small cars.
I like to know how many people has had a tranny replacement and if they had issues again...
