You can see how often the code has been discussed on the forum and maybe get a bit more info on it:

Hmm I check my paperwork fluid was changed 12000 miles ago. May I ask why changing it again would fix or might fix the code and slightly weird shifting? ThanksThe only thing left to do is change the fluid again. You only get about 1/2 the fluid out so doing it twice has better odds of fixing something.
Good point if thats the case. The receipt will have the break down of costs so that will show what they did.Since the fluid change was performed by the dealership, I'd be inclined to think they did more than a driveway drain and fill. They have the equipment to get more out. I've been using dealerships for fluid service multiple times (30-35k intervals) and I've never even considered that they only changed half my fluid... I assume they took the steps necessary to fully complete the service because telling a customer "you will need to come back in after 5000 miles and let us do it again" is not an acceptable business model.
The problem now is almost all auto makers have them. I'm talking small cars to small SUV's. Honda seems to be the best as far as CVT's but again I hate how they drive. I have a truck and always will have one but the wife on the other hand likes small cars.I wouldnt be dead set against Nissan. The CVTs just suck. I would not buy any car with a CVT.
