Alarm not working

589 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  marks2012
I parked my Juke SL and locked the doors using the fob. Previously, the horn would beep. This time, it didn't. Tried using the door handle button, and no little chirp. Pushed the 'panic' button and still no sound. Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention that the doors do lock/unlock in both instances.

Thanks

I think there is a setting on the ICON setup. To enable a beep upon lock and unlock. Try there.

does your horn work at all? The alarm horn and the lock “chirp” are made from two different devices. The chirp comes from a small little piezo speaker that’s behind the passenger headlight. The alarm uses the two actual horns. The chirp can be enabled/disabled by pressing the key fob lock/unlock buttons in a certain combo. The owners manual tells you what the process is. If your actual horn doesn’t work by pressing the steering wheel, you need to check the horn fuse. I can’t remember off the top of my head where it is exactly but I think it’s either in the IPDM or the little fuse box right by the ECU in front of the battery.

Yeah, horn works normally. I'll have to try the ICON setup and get back to you all. Thanks again.

You can make thes changes from your FOB (not the ICON system). This is from the owners manual. Use yours to find any missing information.
