Hello.

As with quite a few Jukes, my outside, driver side front door handle has snapped and i'm trying to replace it. I have a new handle, however i'm struggling to access the door locking mechanism in order to remove the existing handle.

I've referred to all the manuals, but they only go up to 2016 and it seems the 2018 model is a little different. There's a metal panel covering the entire mechanism so i can't access it. I've attached images.

Has anyone had any experience accessing the door lock mechanism on this model?
Or better yet, has anyone got access to a 2018 service manual?

Also, the cynic in me can't help but think Nissan added this panel to make it harder for people to replace their clearly less than ideal door handle design! But that's probably me just being bitter, i'll go get a cuppa.

Sorted this. I downloaded the Haynes manual where it indicates that you need to remove the glass and the guide rails in order to remove the "security panel". I then was able to access the lock mechanism.
