2014 Juke S hatch actuator wont open

Anyone encountered a problem with the hatch that wouldn’t unlock? It just started the other day after the horn alarm trigged as I opened the door (didnt even know such exists on my car). I’ve already checked the switch and the actuator are both ok, but in my isolation I found that the switch doesnt supply power directly to the latch but actually sends a signal to the BCM to unlock. The switch activates but no change on the supply to the lock itself. Appreciate any help.
