If the car is in park for even 2 hours, it does not overheat. But as soon as you put it in drive, it will go up to the red. Replaced radiator and cap, waterpump, both thermostats. No water in oil, no white smoke coming out of tailpipe. The car runs perfect, just overheating. No knocking no sounds. I have had dye tests done. Everyone seems to be puzzled

The check engine light will come on, and the machine just reads overheating. No loss of coolant.

I remember a thread about having to "burp" the system. There is an air trap in there somewhere. I will try to find it.

Great, Thank You. It has been burped from the radiator with some type of funnel thing. Also just recently found a bleeder valve. So now all the air is out and still running hot.

Looks like the FSM says to vent thru the heater hose.
