  1. New Nissan Juke review: one step forward, one step back

    Other Vehicle Discussion
I heard rumors they will introduce more drivetrain options later, which I hope they would continue the Nismo line, because shipping a modern car with only 113hp is absurd. At least they finally ditched the CVT... for now.
  2. A Hardcore OFFROAD Juke

Ok some real research and development: Found a place with trails that was mostly sand, the Juke gets bogged down on some of the softer stuff like in clearings, but it still makes its way through it. Did some hill climbs, does great with momentum, but still gets a little boggy. It was at it's...
  3. A Hardcore OFFROAD Juke

Member's Build / Journal / Work in Progress
Technically yes because that would drastically effect my weight distribution and also change what spring rate I might need Also I'm like 80% on the design of the tire carrier I've just been too lazy to meet up with the fabricator

So I took it offroading, did a flex test and just for good measure, jumped it like 12 feet, and here's what I found out: I have about 6.5" of suspension travel in the front and about 7" in the rear. Everything's pretty well set up, nothing rubs and it's actually a pretty capable machine as is...
  5. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I've had GPS crap out on my phone before, I don't know if that's a software or hardware error, I just know that I don't want to rely on my phone for my speedometer. Also, it takes a few seconds to calculate speed through GPS signals, where with the analog sensor it updates about 2 or 3 times faster

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I was hoping that this wouldn't have any lag, but somehow it still only manages to read the speed every second or so. And over long trips certain areas have bad GPS reception, so that was the other reason. An android head unit would be cool so I can get torque and the CVT app on it, but I would...
  7. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
After over 13 months with larger tires and an incorrect speedometer I just now found a solution that sounded right which is a programmable speedometer for a bicycle. Of course, being made for a bicycle, the cable was only about 2 feet long, so I had to mount it on the center console and read the...
  8. SRS Airbag Light

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
the timing thing that Mac is talking about is turning the car back off after the the solid airbag light goes away. check this post for more details. https://www.jukeforums.com/threads/airbag-light-flashing.121934/#post-1684333 Apparently in some cases the airbag module will just be low on...
  9. Air bag warning light

    Nissan Juke Engine Discussion
Try this https://www.jukeforums.com/threads/airbag-light-flashing.121934/#post-1684333 basically turn it on into accessory mode a few times and it resets the airbag module.
  10. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I see my Juke every day, so I forget just how ridiculous it is already, but I feel like I still had to show up to that car meet without doors just to prove, definitively, that it is ridiculous.
  11. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
The hatch is a little too much, and also most of my stuff was behind the rear seats in the 'trunk' the whole time lmao, the only thing left on the car that I could actually lock. I am actually considering tube doors and maybe some soft doors to keep out light rain. Driving without doors is...
  12. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I took my Juke to a car meet earlier, but with a twist. I think it's pretty subtle, you might not catch what's different about it  I also met some other people who have unusual lifted vehicles and a couple people actually recognized my car and wanted to meet me, so apparently I have a...
  13. Engine codes help

    Nissan Juke Engine Discussion
I was struggling with a P011C code a couple times, I had taken the intake snorkel off, and I think it was sucking in too much hot air from the engine bay, so I put part of the snorkel back on and it hasn't come up since. It seemed to only show up on hot humid days though like 95 degrees and...
  14. A Hardcore OFFROAD Juke

32.5" Tires, 2.5" of lift, ground clearance 12" at the subframe (fender flares still in progress) Already pretty ridiculous, and I'll be the first to admit I don't get to offroad as often as I'd like, but I do get a lot of positive comments and cool interactions with it Tooooo hot to work...
  15. Ordered Bilstein B14 kit in June...

    Nissan Juke Suspension and Brakes
For a company that plasters "custom coilovers" on all their merchandise they were pretty against any suggestion I threw at them. So if you want something specific and you don't want to waste your time calling 3 technicians and 2 support people at BC racing, you could just call one guy at...
  16. Ordered Bilstein B14 kit in June...

    Nissan Juke Suspension and Brakes
I ordered my Silver's kit with the tallest shock bodies they could put on a kit and it was 147mm of travel for the front struts and 150mm of travel for the rear. That's about 6 inches of suspension travel which is plenty for a small SUV like the Juke. If you know exactly what you want, they can...
  17. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I only just now got around to cutting the passenger side quarter panel, I got this side much cleaner than the other, which is a shame because it's the side I never see. This is now the absolute maximum amount of room before the inside and outside of the car become the same thing, I could...
  18. 1st Gen Tail Retrofit to 2nd Gen wiring question

    Nissan Juke Audio and Visual
tbh I kinda liked the shape of the gen 1's being sharper and more angular, but the clear lens aftermarket LED ones for the gen 1 didn't look as good
  19. What have you done to your Juke today?

    Nissan Juke General Discussion
I'm jealous, but my Juke can do both anyways so...
  20. 1st Gen Tail Retrofit to 2nd Gen wiring question

    Nissan Juke Audio and Visual
At first I thought the LEDs in mine weren't functional either, but they are just super dim. Notice how in the video the guy was filming in a dark garage, they are really more like a "night-time running light" if that's even a thing. That's the only disappointing thing about them, but at night...
