Welcome to the Nissan Juke forums. Unfortunately we do not have information on a Nissan Altima. You might want to search for a Nissan Altima forum.

As far as I know, TPMS cannot be bypassed with a paper clip. There is a wireless sensor in the wheel the car reads. If the car is indicating a TPMS error, either you have a small leak, a failed sensor, or a sensor that needs to be paired to the TPMS system of the car. A mechanic should be able to diagnose, fix, or reprogram the sensor.

He is talking about the hack way to reset the TPMS to new units. Googling can get you the answer, I've posted it on the forum before, probably 5 years ago. If if remember correctly, basically, you open the fuse box and short one of them for a split second 6 times at a certain interval and it forces the TPMS to go into relearn. I think you have to have the 4 tires set at different PSI, like 29, 30, 31, 32 or something, then you have to drive for 10 minutes while it sorts he new units out. It's a really annoying method.

Ah gotcha. I was unaware you could do that to the TPMS system.
