    Battery terminal cover

Hi, today I had a battery replacement on my '17 Juke. When I got home I had a quick look under the bonnet to see one of the terminals exposed. I cannot remember if the original battery was like this or whether this is standard practice. Could someone tell me whether this is correct? If not, I'll head back to the dealership.

That's what my battery in my '16 looks like, except the negative lead is oriented to the right. No cap on my negative terminal anyway.

You're not missing a cover for the - terminal...But I don't see the battery tie down bar.

There’s no top tie down for that style/group type of battery. It’s a clamp along the bottom edge of the battery. I just put an identical one in my Mini Cooper. It’s an H6/Group 48 battery and has those handles on top.

Edit: look towards the bottom of the picture between the battery and the metal tray/shield. There’s the bolt and the clamp holding down the battery.

Edit 2: and judging from the picture, OP has a European Juke.

Yep its there. Another good spot.

Its like that SR20 swapped Juke from Thailand. He has gauges across the passenger airbag. I hope its disabled. Otherwise first take you are like. Wow. There is no spoon. lol

Ah European. I knew something seemed different for some reason. Wasn't sure if it was just a generation difference or what. That fuse box location through me off.
