In the market for Nissan’s all-new, all-electric Leaf? Too bad. According to the AFP, “dealers sold this year’s entire shipment before the zippy sedan even hit showrooms…”
But that doesn’t mean you’re completely out of luck. You’ll just need to be patient.
Nissan is slated to deliver another shipment of Leaf EVs in October 2011. While that’s an entire year from now, the wait may actually be a blessing in disguise. After all, within a year problems using the Leaf in the real world may become more apparent.

I have a friend at work who said he was going to buy the Leaf as soon as it came out. He really wants an electric car to save money on gas.

I asked him how much it would raise his electric bill to charge it every night.

All I got was a blank stare.
