    Juke Compliments

I use to get almost daily compliments on my previous vehicle and I wish I took note of every single one, because there were some crazy ones. (Such as a homeless guy jumping infront of my vehicle just to say "NICE CAR BATMAN!")

I believe I'm going to get just as much compliments with my Juke. I've been getting compliments almost everyday since only a few days ago and I'm not even done with this car.

    I'll start:

The first night I got my Juke, my friend's dad said "Nice truck" I was like, I'd hardly call it a truck, lol. His mom was tripping out over the "crazy" lights, because I had everything on.

The 2nd day, I was at the tint shop and the shop owner also said "Nice Truck" Later that day at Radio Shack parking lot, I was about to pull out when this lady stopped right infront of my car. Double backed. Walked past me to her car that's parked behind and said

"WHAT IS THAT? IT'S ADORABLE! LOOKS LIKE A MINIATURE NISSAN ROGUE! IT'S SO CUTE!"

    I was like thanks... -_- It's a Nissan Juke...

She didn't know because I had it debadged.

The 3rd day, I was walking to my car and I see this big russian waiter smoking outside, pacing back and forth checking out the Juke. I said "You like?" He said in the thickest Russian accent you can imagine "Yes, nice small car"

Yesterday, I was leaving Auto Zone, and one of the employees outside was smoking and said something something "nice" I couldn't hear him over the crazy Rockford Fosgates. I just smiled and said thanks.

Today I took an hour drive to Woodbury Outlet and I was getting nothing by looks on the highway with people pacing me. While leaving the Outlet parking lot, one of the crossing guards said out loud "NICE CAR MAN! REALLY NICE!" He really emphasized on "REALLY" I smiled and said thanks!

On the way home, had more curious stares on the highway.

An Escalade with blacked out windows rolled up next to me at a light in the city and started hollering something at me. This is usually the beginings of a shady situation, but I rolled down my window to see what the hell they were yelling.

It was two young ladies yelling "you look so cute in that car" and "damn that thing is Tight..what is that". Then they proceeded to cut me off by making a right turn from the left lane.

    Haha, typical stereotypical Escalade behavior.

Our neighbors came over yesterday to say how they were amazed how "big yet tiny" the car is. That's one of my favorite things. It's big in a small package.
    I need a turbo-twelve-step program. I have more turbos than cars! '64 Chevy C-10: 383 w/turbo. '04 Volvo XC90: Twin-turbo, '00 V70r: Monster turbo, Soon to be '11 Juke SL AWD (turbo!)

I've had quite a few compliments too -- more than I ever got on any other car, though the Z is competition. A lot of people compliment it, others look at me like wtf is a Juke? Right off the top of my head, I remember my neighbor being the first to walk buy saying "New car? I really like the color!", a guy in a element or some junk almost wrecked the thing stopping to check the Juke out as I was pulling out of my parking lot, and most recently, an older woman was climbing out of her SUV and blurted out "Pretty car!". I ran into one other Juke owner on base... electric blue just like mine. Never met this woman before in my life, but when we parked, we met up and started chit chatting about all of the comments we've gotten on them. Love it!

One of the ladies I work with said: "Congrats on the new car; it's cute!"

Then, the cute lil' lady I buy my breakfast from on weekends scoped it out and asked a lot of questions then concluded: "It sure is an attention grabber! I like it!"

Today while walking to my car at the mall parking lot. There was a man, women, and their kids walking infront of us. As the man was passing my Juke, he pointed at it and said something to his wife, but I couldn't tell what he said. My lady friend told me he said "That's a cool looking car"

I just completed a 2100km trip to Ottawa and back and I'd say for every 10 cars on the highway that passed (or got passed) 7 of them did double takes and/or full on head-turns.

I noticed many mazda drivers checking the car out. Every female mazda driver checked it out, with out fail.
Drivers of miatas, 350/370z, s2000s, and solstices checked it out. An old dude in a Raptor gave the thumbs up. It was a mixed bag from Subaru and Cooper drivers, though there was an attractive young girl who sped by in her Mini checking it out all the way, then slowed down and let me pass, then sped past again, repeated like 3 times, big smiles the whole time.
But most importantly, the hot wife passenger in a Porsche Cayenne was checking both me and the car out-- I figure if this thing can grab the attention from a luxury SUV then it's an epic win in my books.

I nominate Nissan's "electric blue" color to be renamed "attention-whore blue"

    Haha, that is so true!

I haven't had any comments for a while, but I still notice people looking. I also haven't been to many places where I would get comments recently.

lol I am getting an electric blue Juke but am totally not the attention seeking type. I just really like the color. I do tend to be attracted to the more bizarre cars (current car is 2005 Scion xA and when it came out it was before the style was more mainstream).
