    Confused about options

Currently looking at an SV with Navigation...dealer said that when you get the Navagation system, it comes with the back up camera as well as the upgraded sound system...he also said that the SV has the USB port for the ipod etc. I told him that was listed as an item standard with the SL but not the SV...he insisted the SV has the same USB port.

The Juke brochure has the navigation system, upgraded speakers and usb connection port for ipod as completely separate bullets. So, now I'm confused--Again! Maybe I should just get a used Pinto (:

I'm guessing that the dealer is incorrect???

Pinto was the first car I ever owned, bad idea! I have an SV with the standard radio. If you upgrade to the NAV system you lose the Ipod adapter in the glove box, but gain the USB port (can be used with your iPod also). The USB option is better I think because you could just plug a cheap USB drive in and not have an expensive iPod laying around in your car.

Mine was a pine green with wood panel station wagon, so it was even worse. Gremlins were waaaay better. Pacer, not so much. I'm not into the fish bowl look.

The SV with the Navigation does not have the back up camera. The back up camera can be added but it will cost even more. You can add an aftermarket BU camera if you have the Nav system. There's a thread in the DIY section where Dude has already done this.

The Nav system does have the USB port and loses the iPod connector in the glove box. I like the USB port right there because I never leave my iPod in the car.

Thanks for the info ZacMan...now I just have to decide whether to go with the SV AWD with splash guards, mats, Nav and (free from dealer fog lights)--for $ 22,377 or see what he'll offer for the SL...maybe he'll throw in a free spoiler if I go with the SL? Worth a shot, maybe....

I forgot to mention the backup camera. I would have him put it in writing if he is saying the SV will come with it (ZacMan is right). Are you ordering one or is talking about an SV he has in stock? Perhaps his already has the backup cam and he is just confused. Either way good luck.

I had a rust brown 74 Gremlin...the color was great since it hid a LOT of rust. Eventually they would not give me a sticker to drive it on the highway. So I upgraded to a banana (literally BRIGHT) yellow Ford Fiesta (yes, Fiesta, not a Festiva)....
