P0090 code today - also - oil smells like fuel

Sooo, here is a new one.
Was driving on the Hwy today and changed lanes to pass someone. Changed down to 5th, gave it some throttle and passed no issues, however, the CEL came on. I pulled the code and it was P0090 which seems to be a 'fuel pressure regulator 1 control circuit' issue. Whatever that means. I drove back to my building (taking it quite easy I'll add) but nothing seemed to be amiss. All the gauges showed everything ok (I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, however my AFR was fine) and car seemed to be running no issues. I popped the hood to look around and smell around, nothing out of the ordinary.

I figured while I was in there I'd check the oil level. I immediately noticed the colour was off (darker than it should be) and noticed a smell of gas. It's unmistakeable. So then I'm thinking 'oh boy, that's not right).

So now what are we thinking - injector issues? 42000km on the car. Stock fuel pump, stock injectors,
I'll be taking it to the first service appointment I can get booked here at Nissan for diagnosis.

What are the dealers here like WRT mods? (Here being Southern Ontario). In Alberta my Nissan dealer is amazing and uses a common sense approach (if it's a factory part that I haven't changed or modded, it's covered by warranty, no issues). And as I said, stock injectors, pump, lines, turbo.

Sounds like your fuel is leaking into the engine oil obviously. Bad leaking/injector? Prolly not as this will cause a rich mixture. Unless it is leaking while it is sitting/not running and relieving the fuel line pressure.

Can a leaking fuel rail spill into the oil sump sump somehow though the intake or pcv system?

I hope you are not driving her.

    I'm not sure...
I will say it's been idling a lot because I have remote start and it has been winter time. Tons of short hops too where it doesn't get up to full temp.
However, the change I noted in the oil seems like a lot to not be caused by some sort of actual issue, not just idling.

Guelph is a bit of a drive - but I go way out of my way. The Service Dept and Master Tech there are real decent.

Thanks, that is good to know! I will try my luck at a local one to here first but will do the drive if things don't seem like they'll workout up here.

    Update:

Took it in this morning. They confirmed the oil smelled like fuel (very noticeable) and suggested a flush, and did that.
Then cleared the code and went for a good set drive. The code didn't come back on at all. They checked for leaks and no leaks found, so all seems well.

Next steps are to monitor and see if the code comes back, and flush the oil one more time sooner than later to ensure it's all clean.
Knock on wood, the code was a fluke and jukey is healthy! Doesn't explain the fuel in the oil, unless it really was just idling it a fair bit with remote start over the winter.

Wonder what a Juke cold starting and idling in Canada does to Injector cycles? How rich is so rich that fuel washes into the cylinder.

I would also unplug your battery negative and clear all or any stored info in the ECU. Just to be sure.
