This thing is awesome, the 'shifts' are so much smoother with this thing installed.
Was a real SOB for me though, because getting the crank bolt off can be TRLUY bad.
I went through three impact guns, then just had to resort to the starter-bump method.
Finally the starter bump method worked.
I suggest if you are going to do this install yourself, make sure you have 1100 ftlb of nut breaking power. I only had 600ftlbs on my Ingersol Rand 231, and this is the first time it has let me down.
I didn't want to buy a new tool, (and I was a little frustrated) so I just bump-started the bolt off. You can find a lot of video's on youtube with this 'procedure'/backwoods way to get a crank bolt off.
Anyway, loving the first drive with the new pulley, and will report back with some more news after 6 months.
Here are some photo's of the install.
To save yourself so much hassle. Keep this trim-tab IN. Don't take it out.
just pull/bend the fender liner out of your way like I did, and it's easy.
Victory over the Bolt and the Pulley.
What it looks like when you have your pulley off.
When installing the new pulley, tighten to 22 ft lbs then turn another 60 deg. Be careful, SUPER easy to tighten further than the 22 ft lbs. I think I went to 30 and realized I had missed the 'click' in my torque wrench.
Next up is either the down-pipe or something to keep intake air temp down.
Not sure if that will be CAI, or Intercooler, we'll see!
Then a full-tune in the spring with Visconti.
