Jimm, All this info you've been providing has been awesome! Are you getting this from Nissan service manuals?

If so, don't get in trouble !

yup..that info was copied and taken directly out of the Service Manual....someone a while back on this forum actually provided a link which allowed anyone to download the entire service manual for free....As you could imagine the site administrators didn't like that so much and had him remove that link....a few lucky folks were able to get the entire service manual

Anyone know what the interface from ICON to the other parts of the system looks like? I would love to have a switch that overrode the steering to the sport setting.

Question for all you "SV" & "SL" owners out there. How noticeable is the difference in accelerator response when switching to "SPORT" mode? For CVT/AWD owners, is the lag from a dead stop some people are reporting reduced or completely absent when in "SPORT" mode? What about when in "ECO" mode? How noticeable is the decrease in accelerator response and do you notice a significant reduction in rpms?

I have been using a Freepower Throttle Controller for about 3 weeks now and the difference is night and day. In "SP" mode there are 9 sub-settings, 9 being the most significant. At 9, My Juke absolutely flies off the line, 0 lag time response and the turbo ticks in instantly. It is like driving a completely different car. The 1st full tank of gas at 90% city driving in "SP"-5" with a handful of take-offs at "SP-9" reduced my mileage from about 22mpg to 19.5mpg

The "EC" mode" is just as dramatic of a difference, albeit in the opposite direction.. "EC-7" it is almost undriveable it goes so slow, I could only see using this on long highway or rural trips. My 1st full tank of gas at "EC-5" for the entire tank (this is about the highest setting I can handle) , 90% city driving, increased my mileage from 22mpg to 26mpg.

Just curious if the ICON settings on the "SV" & "SL" models exhibit similar response curves

Eco mode is lethargic. I stick to sport mode because I like way the steering feels.
Sport mode still suffers from turbo lag, but this is reportedly remedied with a CAI/SRI, exhaust, hard IC lines and MBC... Can't wait

IMHO "Sport" helps with that initial lag in response. But all these "drive by wire" systems have the lag. I doubt it can be totally avoided, because your right foot is no longer mechanically linked to the throttle. Electronics are fast, but not as fast as a real throttle cable.

My statement was disregarding the typical drive by wire lag. I know this cannot be changed, sadly, but the drive by wire lag doesn't change between modes.
