    Remote Start

Just wondering if anyone has added a remote starter to their Juke. I'm considering it with winter coming. I'd actually love to get the Viper iPhone version, but I'm not sure I like paying a yearly fee.

Thats exactly what I wanted to get for mine! I have an iPhone and was seriously considering getting that viper remote start. Its gonna cost a pretty penny for install tho.

I just read the price dropped $100 to $399. Best buy has them listed with free basic install. I hate dealing with BB, because my guess would be that the install won't be "basic".

How can the remote start work? The remote is in your pocket and you are sitting in the house having a cup of coffee. Would you not have to walk out to the Juke to start it anyway?

Yea, but it just makes it convenient to warm up the Juke w/out having to freeze in -10 degree weather.

I hope we don't have a resurgence of home asphyxiations as carbon monoxide levels gather in the garage and seep through homes....

(Well, if you have a garage attached to your home).

For me, the remote start would be used when I'm at work. I live in the Chicagoland area, and below 0 weather is pretty common. While heated seats are great, in weather like that, it can take a good 20 minutes for a car to warm up.
While a much cheaper remote starter would work, I'm considering the iPhone Viper one since I wouldn't have to carry any additional fobs on my keychain.

I'm in Cleveland and I too don't want the extra fob. This is the route I will be going, but with an Android phone. I am transferring my current alarm to my wife's Altima, she says she doesn't mind the extra fob.

Please post on how you like it, and how well it integrates with the Juke. That's my main concern. We'll leave the iPhone vs Android debate for another day. I'm sure the system works the same on either device.

I just finished installing the Remote Start/Alarm in the Juke, much easier than I expected it to be. Most Push button start cars are a major pain to do.

I also installed Drone Mobile, which is similar to Viper Smart Start, in addition to being able to lock/unlock and remote start from an iphone, Android or Blackberry it also allows you to GPS track where the car is and where it has been, works great.
