Juke SL (Canadian version) iPod question

Hi I'm new to the forum and was hoping a Canadian Juke SL owner can answer the following questions for me:

Does the Juke SL have an iPod connector in the glove box?
Does the vehicle come with the necessary cable (no extra cost)?
Can the iPod be controlled (volume/track selection) using the steering wheel audio controls?

I attempted to get this question answered at the dealership and apparently the sales team knows less about the Juke than I do.

I'll be purchasing a Juke in the next month or two and wanted to confirm whether I will need to upgrade to the Navi system for it's USB connection or if the base head unit can handle things for me.

    Thanks!

    Hi Evilpony

With the SL version the Ipod connection is not in the glove box its located under the I Con console on the left hand side. right next to the USB port

Thank you both for your replies.

I am really hoping to hear from someone in Canada with the SL model but without the Navigation upgrade.

I'm pretty sure the connections are different without it.

Again, thanks for your replies, I appreciate your time.

The Juke I test drove in February (SL Juke w/o nav package, in New Brunswick) had the necessary cable in the glove box and what looked like the necessary port for it. I didn't test it because I don't own any relevant apple products.

Sorry, but I got the SL with the nav package too. I did hear the same thing that AcidLacedPenguin said from other people on this forum, but they were mostly Americans. It just seems like an odd place to plug in your iPod. I much prefer having the USB port in the front.

I really like the connection in the glove box, just plug in an iPod and forget it. I plan to put a portable navi in the spot where the USB plug is.

So far it looks like everyone in Canada bought the Navigation upgrade with the SL! I may have to bow to peer pressure, but was hoping to save a few thousand dollars

Live on the edge and go for it...you don't want to regret it later that you didn't get it.
