Hi for all the jukers with oem foglights, can you turn on the foglights by itself without the headlights?
I am trying to start a project to put in DRL led ring on the foglight just gathering information...
Thanks

No, headlight on, fog light on. No headlights, no fog lights.
Current Ride: 2012 Juke SL AWD in Metallic Bronze with the black and red leather seats.
Current Mods: LED replacements front to back, K-Powered IC Hardpipes, rear muffler delete.
it would be nice to be able to have just the fogs and parking lights on... That was a nice feature on my M3.
I know on my old Sentra (SER Spec-V) they found out that you could run jumpers across the relays (certain contact points) that controlled the lights and you could in turn just run parking lights with fog lamps. I ran mine for about 2 years like that with no ill effects.
Haven't checked yet, but I think if you turn on high beams, the fog lights might cut out. Anyone checked this? I did a search for "fog light" in the 2011 owners manual (pdf) and found nothing on its behavior with the high beams. My Sentra cut it's fogs when the high beams came on before I modded the relays.
They're called "fog lights" because they're supposed to be used for fog. High beams give to much glare and would be kind of pointless in those conditions, hence they fogs go off for hi-beams. They are also not daytime running lights, I'm not sure why Nissan ommited this mode for the US Juke, 1/2 power lows would have sufficed without adding any extra lighting. Fogs are aimed too low to really be used for this, and burn more power. I will probably pick up a set of Philips LED4 DRL's when I get the time and money.
Just a suggestion, do it right. There isn't a situation I can think of when I would want the fogs on, but the low beams off.
