'Midnight' styled Juke w/extras (at least that's how it is starting)

Just recently joined and have read a lot of usefull info through the threads and have recieved answers and great comments. Thanks everyone

Starting with a 2011 SL pretty loaded. Leather/red stitching interior, sunroof/moonroof, Rockford Fosgate sound w/sub, AWD, heated seats, and Nav. 36k miles. Gun metal
It wasn't treated the nicest by the previous owner (darn kids) but is a diamond in the rough. I have been working on the interior. Conditioning the leather, removing scratches and paint marks and put in a set of Aries StyleGaurd floor mats. They fit like a glove and look awesome. The 'black' has a kind of carbon fiber weave to them which matches the fabric pattern on the door arm rests very well and the hooks line up perfect.

Carparts has a very good price for these. I shop A LOT when I buy stuff so you might be hard pressed to find them cheaper.

I went with the OEM Juke cargo mat. that suits my needs just fine.

I wasn't happy about the 3 large openings in the front/lower bumper between the fog lights. I understand airflow is good but any road debris could possibly puncture the radiator. Umm...no, not good. So I was going to make a set of inserts but for the price I decided to buy a set instead. Maybe down the road I will make a custom set but I wanted to get the protection ASAP for piece of mind. There is a lot of developing around here and the last thing I need is a bolt to puncture the radiator. Why wasn't this a factory option?

Most of what I will be able to do safely will be cosmetic additions/mods due to the 5 year warranty I bought with the car. I did do a K&N air filter which made a noticable difference right away with not only better throttle response and quicker acceleration but it also sounds better not being as restricted. I swear it was the original nissan air filter that was in it. Got it on sale so win/win

Last week I bought a top/rear spoiler from an eBay seller made by Hyperwing. Not a bad quality and it dry fit very well. Going with a satin black look to match the factory black trim on the car. Purchased Mud flaps (one was missing on the car). Purchased the headlight trim inserts and some lock buckle covers for the doors. Waiting on their delivery.

Just found out what my end of year bonus and commision was. So.... bought the window window visors (dark smoke) and a full dash trim kit. I am going with the carbon fiber look for the interior trims and accents. I have to look and see how I can spend more of that bonus .

I am planning on using the garage at my work after Christmas and spending the day to get this stuff installed. Hopefully I get everything I ordered so I can do as much as possible. Mudflaps will wait until I get the fender trim replaced along with the lower rear valance.

And now to wait for the parts and the time to do it...Happy Holidays everyone

The Juke drove very well with the snow/ice we got the other morning. Was about 2"-3" of compressed, wet show with 1/8"-1/4" layer of ice on top. Took it to an empty parking lot to test it's handling. In a way it reminded me of my old '84 Datsun 4x4 extended cab I used to have. After testing it I couldn't help but punch it every time I left a light or a stop sign. Fun vehicle to drive

Just got notification my Window Visor Rain Guard-Dark Smoke are delivered and sitting on my porch. So now I have the top/rear spoiler and the window guards to do. Hopefully will take a day during the holiday break and use the shop garage to install them. If it were spring or summer they would be installed before the package hit the ground

And a thanks to the 'tips and tricks' ( Tips and Tricks ) section of posts that people made. It was nice to have the wiper arms off of the windshield before it snowed/sleeted to clean it easier. The snow and ice just slid right off thanks to the RainX wiper blades and application of Rainx to the windshield.

Nice posts. The Juke IS fun to drive. Thats why most people fall in love with them.

Make sure the timing chain recall was done. Get her Induction system cleaned by Nissan. Change the CVT fluid. That should do it for maintenance.

Remember the Juke is only as good as the tires she has on in Bad weather.

These are the Best as you found out. I already had Weathertechs so I missed out....... Aries StyleGaurd floor mats

As with any AWD or 4x4, the tires make the difference. Eventually I will get a winter set of rims/tires. Not this winter though. Spending monies elsewhere on the Juke.

As for the recalls- That was the first question I asked. Was the recall on the fuel pressure sensor done and the timing chain. I was informed that all recalls were done to this Juke by the dealership. So, it's now on them if anything goes wrong for those reasons. When I went to look at the Juke there was a Juke parked in the back of the lot that had caught fire from the driver's side front corner. melted/burned most of the front 1/4 of the car. That was not an encouraging sign and they had no info as to why it caught fire. It had Florida tags on it so who knows.

As soon as I have time I will get the induction system cleaned and CVT fluid changed. The CVT fluid looked clean when I inspected the car but it would be a good precaution since the previous owner's diligence on maintenance is in question. Thanks for the tips MacGyver.

My boss just confirmed that I have full use of the shop during our holiday break. Looking forward to working on it next week and hopefully more of my parts come in soon. Maybe I will just bring a sleeping bag and curl up in the back of the Juke...lol

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.... Merry Christmas to me. I now have the Rear spoiler, the window visors, and just got the carbon fiber interior trim overlay kit. There is a guy selling the interior trim kits darn cheap with all the style options on Ebay from New York. He only has 2 left listed... Dash Kit Trim for Juke 2011-up with digita A/C Wood Carbon Interior Tuning Cover | eBay Just got it and opened it up. It looks absolutely great and he packaged it very well.
