Starting with a 2011 SL pretty loaded. Leather/red stitching interior, sunroof/moonroof, Rockford Fosgate sound w/sub, AWD, heated seats, and Nav. 36k miles. Gun metal
It wasn't treated the nicest by the previous owner (darn kids) but is a diamond in the rough. I have been working on the interior. Conditioning the leather, removing scratches and paint marks and put in a set of Aries StyleGaurd floor mats. They fit like a glove and look awesome. The 'black' has a kind of carbon fiber weave to them which matches the fabric pattern on the door arm rests very well and the hooks line up perfect.
Carparts has a very good price for these. I shop A LOT when I buy stuff so you might be hard pressed to find them cheaper.
I went with the OEM Juke cargo mat. that suits my needs just fine.
I wasn't happy about the 3 large openings in the front/lower bumper between the fog lights. I understand airflow is good but any road debris could possibly puncture the radiator. Umm...no, not good. So I was going to make a set of inserts but for the price I decided to buy a set instead. Maybe down the road I will make a custom set but I wanted to get the protection ASAP for piece of mind. There is a lot of developing around here and the last thing I need is a bolt to puncture the radiator. Why wasn't this a factory option?
2011-14 Nissan Juke Mesh Grill Insert kit by customcargrills
Most of what I will be able to do safely will be cosmetic additions/mods due to the 5 year warranty I bought with the car. I did do a K&N air filter which made a noticable difference right away with not only better throttle response and quicker acceleration but it also sounds better not being as restricted. I swear it was the original nissan air filter that was in it. Got it on sale so win/win
Last week I bought a top/rear spoiler from an eBay seller made by Hyperwing. Not a bad quality and it dry fit very well. Going with a satin black look to match the factory black trim on the car. Purchased Mud flaps (one was missing on the car). Purchased the headlight trim inserts and some lock buckle covers for the doors. Waiting on their delivery.
Just found out what my end of year bonus and commision was. So.... bought the window window visors (dark smoke) and a full dash trim kit. I am going with the carbon fiber look for the interior trims and accents. I have to look and see how I can spend more of that bonus .
I am planning on using the garage at my work after Christmas and spending the day to get this stuff installed. Hopefully I get everything I ordered so I can do as much as possible. Mudflaps will wait until I get the fender trim replaced along with the lower rear valance.
And now to wait for the parts and the time to do it...Happy Holidays everyone
