Nissan Juke R 2.0 Heading to Limited Production

Aug 04, 2015 - 12:21 PM - by AutoGuide.com

The 600-hp Nissan Juke R 2.0 is reportedly heading to production.

Much like the original Nissan Juke R which saw limited production and had a price tag of around $550,000, the Juke R 2.0 will see 17 units built and will likely cost around $600,000 with all the bits coming from the more powerful Nissan GT-R NISMO, including the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine.

The Nissan Juke R 2.0 made its debut earlier this year at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, sporting a matte black finish, updated bumpers, rear winglets, side skirts and headlights.

While performance is set at 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque for the Juke R 2.0, Nissan hasnít revealed 0-60 or top speed figures yet. The first Juke R did go 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and had a top speed of 160 mph, so at the very least, expect the Juke R 2.0 to go faster in the 60-mph sprint.

After teasing a higher-spec Juke-R, which Nissan referred to as a Nismo model earlier this month, the Japanese automaker has just revealed the Nissan Juke-R 2.0 concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K.

Starting with the refreshed Nissan Juke, the concept is powered by the Nissan GT-R Nismoís 600-hp twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and Nissanís ATTESA all-wheel-drive system.

In addition to the revised V-motion grille and new LED running lights, turn signals and LED taillights, and front fenders from the standard carís refresh, the Nissan Juke-R 2.0 also receives a new carbon fiber front bumper with larger openings for increased cooling as well as a carbon fiber rear bumper with an
